Using voices
In the drama Free!, Year 8 is left without an English teacher. To relieve the boredom they launch an expedition - two students who never break the rules are sent to steal something from the head-teacher's office. The unlikely criminals return as heroes and set about re-enacting the theft. In the ensuing chaos, one student discovers that he too has been the victim of theft and accusations fly!

Plays are divided into acts and scenes rather than chapters and are meant to be read aloud or acted out.

- pitch (high or low), and
- tone (happy, sad, angry etc.)
TASK:
In pairs practise saying the words:
"What’s So Funny"
You will say these words using the following emotions. Make sure you understand what each one means before you start.
Now, practise saying the line:
"I notice people staring at me everywhere I go."
Say this sentence in a way that shows the following:-
A. You’re mad that people are staring at you.
B. You’re sad that people are staring at you.
C. You’re glad that people are staring at you.
D. You’re nervous or anxious that people are staring at you.
E. You’re embarrassed that people are staring at you.
F. You’re surprised that people are staring at you.
G. You’re suspicious of people that are staring at you.
H. You’re tired of people staring at you.
Finally, catch Jibbly and say:
"What on earth is this?"
