The action of Scene 18 is the height of the drama in the play (the climax) and the turning point for Alison and Tom. You are going to storyboard this scene using six still images/photographs to show what is happening.
There are two timeframes in this scene; the playwright cross-cuts the pupils return to class with the scene in Miss Dixon’s office.
We will read the scene together as a class. While we read, pay close attention to the characters TOM, ALISON, MR BONNINGTON and MRS DIXON as what happens with them in this scene is ‘acted’ out to show the rest of the class what happened in the ‘Biscuit Tin Drama’.
